Amour Petite Rattery was started on October 20th, 2005 and currently consists of 14 happy rats. The males are housed with Daniel in Rohnert Park and the females live with Briana in Davis. All rats at Amour Petite Rattery are always thought of as pets before breeders and are cared for with a great amount of love.
For bedding, carefresh (regular and ultra) is used and it is requested that new adopters do not use either cedar or pine as both of those beddings can be harmful for your rats. They can cause respiratory problems as well as lung and liver damage.
Rats are very social animals and will always be adopted out in same sex pairs, unless there are more rats at home.

Living in Davis with Briana are both the standard and dwarf ladies. In the Ladies' Cage we have: Tayla, Cassia, Catalina, Bella and Badger. They live comfortably in a powdercoated Martin's R-695 (skyscraper). The dwarf girls were just upgraded to a Rat Manor! The residents include: Nink, Maki, Sniz, Happy, Nettle, Pez & Lady Bug. Different cage setups and additional photos can be found in our photo gallery!

Living in Rohnert Park with Daniel are both the standard sized boys, the gentlemen, as well as the dwarfs. The Gentleman's Cage is a Rat Manor. Living happily together are: Arthur and Tangelo. The dwarf boys are also living in a Rat Manor stacked on top of the standard sized boys cage. Their cage consists of: Cootie, Termite, Dingus, Kamikazi, Mantis and Fitz. Different cage setups and additional photos can be found in our photo gallery!

My boyfriend Daniel also helps me co-run the rattery and he's been assisting in breeding and learning from me for close to two years now. He was the inspiration for our growing dwarf lines.
Currently we are specialising in black eyed siamese, burmese and their other varieties in standard and dwarf sizes. New to our line this year are our harleys from Moonstone Haven Rattery in San Fransisco. We look forward to our plans for 2010!
I owned my first rat was when I was 7, but it was only until I was 9 and purchased a young female brown agouti, Peper, from a petshop that I really fell in love. Peper was a beautiful young rat and lived an incredible 3 1/2-4 years. I remember how close of a bond I developed with her and hope to breed the same wonderful personlaties into my own rats.
